I took a trip over to Sheppy initially to see if there were any Barn Owls over at Capel Fleet to photograph. It started off looking great, within five minutes a Barn Own appeared and started hunting the in a nearby field. Perfect!. I grabbed the camera and took a test shot to get the correct exposure, then the owl went down, coming up a few mins later with a vole. It then turned around and flew into the distance landing on a post, ate its breakfast and disappeared into the distance. Rubbish. Nothing else wanted to play ball and light was mostly bad which was frustrating, only managing to point the camera at a female house sparrow and a meadow pipit having a bath in a roadside puddle. Did see two Merlin however, one at Shellness the other over at Elmley.
